I have just finished reading Bailey Jones book, if you have not heard of it yet, you need to get a copy. This is good reading and will surely bring tears back to the eyes of anyone who ever served anywhere near Vinh Long RVN. I met W. Bailey Jones a very long time ago and I recently had the pleasure to talk to him again about his book. I can tell you from my own experience of two tours at Vinh Long at the same time as Bailey Jones, and having followed him around the Delta many times in a slick, filled with ARVN's that his accounting of history as he writes it and has recorded it, is the same way I remember it. If you want your kids and family to know what it was really like, and if you are proud to have served and have done your best, his book needs to be in your library. Written by: Charles Buckley |
